Early 18th Century Stone Farmhouse | Carlisle, PA
This 1730 stone farmhouse had been kept in the family for generations with several additions over the years, leaving the floor plan broken up and dark. As the home was passed on to a new generation the focus was to rethink the overall layout and flow, highlight the beautiful natural stone, and allow for more natural light. The kitchen was relocated in order to better serve both informal and formal dining rooms while also clearing the way for a new large family room. A new featured stair was designed to recreate the entry experience but also to connect the entry to the new family room with views to the pool and backyard.
